These are illustrations I did last 2015. These are part of my Inktober entries. At the time I am not yet using the prompt. I just draw what I want.
I thought I would be cool to draw my childhood games. I used dip pens for these. Enjoy!

I enjoyed playing this game even though it is mostly played by girls. The English version of this game is Chinese garter I think.

“Tsub” is the sound you make when you dive to the river. I miss old times.

“Tupak Tsinelas” means “Throw Flip-flips” in English. We used to play this at our school yard.

I loved playing “teks” as a kid. The usual design of the teks are the popular anime at the time. The earlier version of teks are based from the local movies showing in the cinema.

“Tatsing” is what we called this game. We used bottle caps to play.

“Syato” uses to pieces of sticks. One long and one short. This game involves lots of running and it’s super fun to play.

“Palpok” the bamboo paper gun we used to play too. I still remember how every gun is different as there are different bamboos that you can use. The other version of this is using a ballpen.

“Jolens” is “marbles” in english. This is a fun game to play too.

“Inerel” is “tag” in English. I remember when I was yung we even run on top of concrete fences. Yes, I realize now that it was dangerous.

“Dalig-dalig” literally means “Wheel-wheel”, in Tagalog, it was calles “Tangololong”

“Baga-Baga” is Kite Flying in English. We used to fold the school paper like the one on the illusration and make the kite fly. I miss those days.

When I was young I always draw on the ground using sticks. “Aro” means love in Pangasinan languate.

“Andirit” is Dragonfly in Pangasinan Language. We used to catch them as they were so many!
