The client wants me to draw these cute elephants to be a mascot. He provided some samples of how the characters look. I did the artwork, but he doesn’t seem to like what I did. I did two more revisions based on the comments, but I still can’t seem to get what he wants.
After the third revision, I told the client that I may not be the best artist to do the project. I can’t afford to do unlimited revisions on a single project. Time is money, so when I feel like I am not going anywhere with the illustration, especially when I am sure that I did the best work I can based on the clients’ feedback, I make sure to move on.
I’ve been working with lots of clients. I seldom move on from a project, so I am not always happy to do that. So if there’s anything that I can share from this blog post, it’s to be bold. And when to decide when to push and when to move on.
Time is money, so we can’t stay in one place when there’s not much we can do.
